Sarno Clinic was founded as a nonprofit online clinic and resource to help people enjoy a pain-free life without medication or surgery.

Our mission is to inform and empower you with accurate, empathetic, and actionable health information so you can make the best choice for your own health and wellbeing.

We believe information is power. We also believe the pharmaceutical and medical industry driven by shareholders and private equity does not have your best interest at heart.

For example, back and neck pain is an increasingly widespread and expensive condition worldwide, costing the United States $88 billion a year. Yet despite the hundreds of thousands of spinal surgeries and millions of pills, people continue to suffer.

Back pain - and especially low back pain - can be extremely debilitating. Expensive medical investigations and treatments yield poor results. Drugs like ibuprofen have little benefit in treating back pain and may cause harm.

Our approach is to heal pain according to methods pioneered by Dr. John Sarno and refined by leading medical professionals without resorting to medication or surgery.

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

We strive to provide accurate health and wellness information to people of all backgrounds, irrespective of their race, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, religion, or culture.

We hold the belief that the inclusivity of our team of medical experts, writers, editors, producers, designers, and photographers enhances our coverage, making it more relatable and empathetic.

Our aim is to simplify and present evidence-based health information so it is easy for you to understand and act on.
